Summer Pattern

Simple forecast, so let’s get to it, shall we?  Refilled?
A weak, cool Low will spin across the NW corner of the PNW for the next couple of days, setting up quick rounds of precipitation north of Everett later today, and for the entire Puget Sound area north by early Tue.  Other than that, the rest of the PNW will be dry this week, with temperatures beginning to build into the upper 80s, possibly the lower 90s in southern OR & east sided, by the end of the week.
Labor Day Weekend:  models keep the region dry, with warm temps in play on Sat, but a push of marine air will tap down temperatures around the PNW on Sunday and Labor Day.  Actually, very fine holiday weekend weather is our forecast.  Enjoy.  There remains a chance for thunderstorms developing over the OR Cascades Sunday.  We’ll update this on Fri.
The onshore flow ends by Tue Sep 3, so expect regional temperatures to pop into the 80s to upper 90s just about every day from Sept 4 through 9/11.  The weekend of Sep 7,8 looks rather toasty, with possible thunderstorms developing over the Cascades (not unusual this time of year).
In Summary: summer temperatures will prevail for the next 16 days, excluding the brief downturn around the Sound the next 48 hrs, and late Labor Day weekend.
