Cooler Sundays

Friday August 30
Time to wrap up another month, along with the end of traditional 'summer vacation' with the big US Labor Day holiday weekend.  Great weather ahead for both the holiday and the beginning of September.  Are you Mug-ready?
Temperatures across the PNW will generally range from the mid-80s to mid-90s from today all the way until at least Sep 15.  The exceptions will the next 3 Sundays, as models indicate an onshore strong enough to cool down afternoon temps by approx. 5-8 degrees, for a day or so.  No specific storm systems nor high risk of thunderstorms are currently charting.
BTW: the image below marks the THOUSANDS of lightning strikes that hit the PNW during 24 hrs Aug 17-18.  It was a rare & remarkable wx event (click image to enlarge).
Another simple forecast: sunshine & dry for the next 16-17 days.  Take advantage, fall rains will arrive eventually.
